Whimsical Wednesday Words

For the bloggers and the blog hoppers, you know that Wednesday goes by a different moniker – Wordless Wednesday – and is dedicated to posting a picture of something personal that represents your family, your mood, or your whereabouts.  Usually people post gorgeous photos of their children or landscapes that would make you want to cry.  I am posting something that makes me want to cry, too.  Look at this landscape.  I decided, in total defiance of Wordlessness, to capture the essence with a poem.

The shiny empty cans of Miller Lite.
Rarely far from my husband’s sight.
Recycle bin, I proclaim with all my might.
But they litter my home despite.
When found on the babies’ table in the morning light,
Something seems really not right,
Like we let our children booze all night.

We don’t let them booze all night.  I mean, they’re 1 and 2; Their tolerance isn’t very good.  Although it’s Cinco De Mayo so it could get rowdy tonight.

Feliz!
